COMcheck & REScheck Order Terms

Your order covers the preparation of one (1) energy compliance report (COMcheck or REScheck, as selected) for the specific project identified in your order form. The report will be prepared by Kimberly R. Reese, P.E. and delivered as a permit-ready PDF. No PE stamp or engineer's seal is affixed to COMcheck or REScheck reports, as these reports do not require a PE stamp under applicable energy code requirements. Your fee is based on the conditioned floor area and project type selected at checkout. Pricing is per the current fee schedule posted at www.kiddioengineering.com.

Work will not begin until you have submitted all required project information through the order form or by email. Required information includes:

• Architectural floor plans and elevations (PDF format preferred)
• Conditioned floor area calculations or takeoffs
• Proposed envelope assembly specifications (insulation values, glazing performance)
• Mechanical system type and efficiency ratings (if known at time of order)
• Jurisdiction and applicable energy code (Kiddio Engineering will verify if unknown)

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted. The report will be prepared based on information as provided. If submitted information is incomplete or incorrect, the resulting report may not achieve compliance, and revision fees may apply.

Standard turnaround is three (3) to five (5) business days from receipt of all required project information and confirmed payment. Expedited 24-hour turnaround is available for an additional fee when listed as available at checkout. Turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Kiddio Engineering will notify you promptly if a delay is anticipated.

Your completed report will be delivered as a PDF to the email address provided at the time of order. It is your responsibility to provide a valid, monitored email address. Kiddio Engineering’s delivery obligation is satisfied upon transmission to that address.

Payment in full is required before work commences. Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout. Your order is not confirmed until payment is received. If payment fails, your order will not be processed.

One (1) revision round is included if the revision is required to correct an error caused by Kiddio Engineering. Revisions caused by changes in your project scope, design, or information after delivery are subject to an additional fee ($65 minor / $125 substantial). Response to permit authority comments is not included and is available as a separately priced service.

Because this is a professional engineering service, fees are non-refundable once work has begun. Work begins upon receipt of complete project information and confirmed payment. If you need to cancel before providing project information, please contact Kiddio Engineering promptly.

The report covers energy code compliance only, for the systems and assemblies entered into COMcheck or REScheck. The report does not constitute mechanical or plumbing design, does not verify structural integrity, and is not a code compliance review beyond energy code scope. Kiddio Engineering does not guarantee permit approval, as code interpretation by the permitting authority is outside the Firm’s control.

Kiddio Engineering’s total liability for any claim related to an order under these terms shall not exceed the fee paid for that order. The Firm is not liable for permit rejections, construction delays, or other consequential damages.

These Order Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute arising under these Order Terms is subject to the dispute resolution provisions of the Kiddio Engineering & Consulting, LLC Master Terms and Conditions of Service.
